Phelps Twins Talk Making Movies, Video Games in New Interview

James and Oliver Phelps have given a new interview where the brothers discuss the Harry Potter films and video games. Recorded at the recent games convention in Germany, the twins reflect that it was almost eight years ago that they auditioned for the parts of Fred and George Weasley and have remained with the series ever since. They also address recording their parts for the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince video game, and note that in this game, the overall plot of the series becomes more apparent. Tonner Dolls, makers of high end collectible dolls, have released their new Fall/Holiday collection, and new is a Luna Lovegood doll. The doll, which you can see here, retails for $159.00 (USD), and is based on actress Evanna Lynch as she portrays Luna in the Harry Potter films, complete with mini Radish earrings and her Butterbeer cork necklace. WB Files Suit Over "Hari Puttar" Film Title In India

The BBC is reporting that Warner Bros. has filed suit against a film company in India for infringing on intellectual property rights in titling an upcoming movie: “Hari Puttar – A Comedy Of Terrors.” A spokesperson confirmed that a lawsuit was filed against Mirchi Movies and is expected to be heard before the Bombay High Court. According to the article, WB felt the title was ‘too similar to that of its world famous young wizard.’ Deborah Lincoln, a spokesperson for WB, is quoted as saying: “We have recently commenced proceedings against parties involved in the production and distribution...

Today, the Telegraph has a preview piece featuring an excerpt from the foreword that J.K. Rowling wrote for the upcoming book, Harry, A History by TLC's own Melissa Anelli. The piece focuses on how J.K. Rowling "finally cracked," she said, in 2002, and "Googled Harry Potter."

As readers are aware, “The Tales of Beedle the Bard,” the new book for charity by author J.K. Rowling will be published on December 4, 2008. As we draw nearer to the release of the new companion book to the Harry Potter series, retailers have begun their marketing campaign for the book.
